Black College Athletes Mental Health I
Mental health of college athletes is one of, if not the hottest topics in college sports. The NCAA has its mental health task force, the PAC-12 will hold a mental health conference in 2020, and there are various platforms designed to use technology to raise awareness regarding the mental health of college athletes. Yet, not one of those resources, or efforts, has carved out space to discuss the unique mental health status, needs, and strengths of Black male college athletes. This webinar will discuss issues impacting Black college athletes and why behavioral health services are challenged to reach this sub-population.
